Science 3 – Used in Academic Years (2024-2025),(2026-2027)
Using Bob Jones Science 3 as the spine, students will explore many different facets of science. Major topics of study will include the solar system, cells and how they do their work, how scientists group animals and what their different characteristics are, botany, and much more. Each week, the class will feature interesting activities and experiments designed to help kids discover the amazing world we live in. Highlights of the semester will include learning to use a microscope, cracking open a geode to look for crystals, and dissecting an earthworm.
Science 5/6 D

Science 6 – Used in Academic Years (2025-2026), (2027-2028)
Using Bob Jones Science 6 as the spine, students will explore many different facets of science. Major topics of study will include earthquakes and volcanoes, weathering and erosion, natural resources, cells and classification, animal classification, plant classification, atoms and molecules, motion and machines, stars, the solar system, plant and animal reproduction, heredity and genetics, the nervous system, and the immune system. Special technology lessons are incorporated throughout the school year. Each week, the class will feature interesting activities and experiments designed to help kids discover the amazing world in which we live. Highlights of the semester will include constructing a 3-D model of the cell, designing and building a structure that can withstand an earthquake, performing chemical reactions, and designing and making a model roller coaster. In addition to exciting experiments, we will play fun review games, watch interesting movies, and students will supplement their learning with occasional webquests.

Science 4 – Used in Academic Years (2025-2026), (2027-2028)
Using Bob Jones Science 4 as the spine, students will explore many different facets of science. Major topics of study will include the moon, light, electricity, magnetism, simple machine, water and oceans, the digestive system, bones and muscles, ecosystems, plants, weathering and erosion, natural resources and insects. Each week, the class will feature interesting activities and experiments designed to help kids discover the amazing world in which we live. Highlights of the semester will include designing electrical circuits, learning about lasers, and making a model of the surface of the moon. Students will enjoy using the microscope to view algae, moss, and insect parts. In addition to exciting experiments, we will play fun review games, watch interesting movies, and students will supplement their learning with occasional webquests.

Science 5 – Used in Academic Years (2024-2025),(2026-2027)
Using Bob Jones Science 5 as the spine text, students will learn about and explore a variety of interesting scientific topics. Students will make their own fossils, make and use their own weather instruments, measure their lung capacity and learn about sound. The instructor uses a wide variety of games, activities, and experiments to demonstrate some of the scientific principles that govern our world.
