This course is intended for students who want a refresher of the basic concepts taught in the ODA Elementary English 3 and Elementary English 4/5 courses. This is not a substitute for the actual course but is a review and refresher for those courses.

Topics include: review of basic syllable patterns, such as vowel/consonant, vowel/consonant/e, etc. A review of parts of speech: nouns (common and proper) and pronouns, Verbs (action and helping), prepositions and prepositional phrases, adjectives (descriptive and limiting), and adverbs. A review of the writing process with proper sentence and paragraph structure, along with a review of general editing procedures will be covered.
