One Day Academy is sponsoring the Scripps National Spelling Bee. The winner of the Jan. 13 competition will advance to the Regional Bee, which will be hosted and sponsored by U.T.S.A.'s Downtown San Antonio campus on March 2, 2024.

The Spelling Bee will consist of two divisions:

1. Division 1 (just for fun) is for students 7 - 9 years of age.  The first-place winner of this division will not move on to the Regional Spelling Bee. Division 1 will begin at 9 a.m..  Participants should check in by 8:45 a.m. on Jan. 13.

2. Division 2 is for students 7 – 15 years of age.  The Champion of this division will compete at the regional competition. Division 2 will begin at approximately 10 a.m.   Participants should check in by 9:45 a.m. on Jan. 13.
