Purpose

9-month long course
Introduction to music as a language and how it is communicated, with basic theory, vocabulary, and history. Rhythm instruments, composer studies, hymn of the month, recognition of orchestra and band instruments, music maps, interpretive listening and movement, and hands on activities will be utilized to enhance the understanding that music is a gift from God that we can explore and enjoy.
