SPECIAL NOTES
Performance-Oriented Class:
Intro to Dance is a class that progresses toward performance. Students in this class will perform twice per year (near the end of each semester).
Dance costume fees will be due approximately mid-semester (each semester) and will stay in a reasonable range of $30-$45 per costume.
Parent involvement is expected on performance day. Volunteers will be needed in a variety of roles during the week leading up to each performance, and on performance days.
Curriculum/Materials:
In class attire: Girls: black (or dark) ankle length tights, capped sleeved or long sleeved leotard & skirt (attached or separate), pink ballet slippers, hair pulled out of face. I can be flexible with the color of leotards/tights for practice. The goal is to not have a distracting outfit while we move together in unison. Even “athleisure” attire is OK, as long as the student can move freely, the lines of the body can be seen, and the clothes cover the shoulders and midsections. Boys: plain t-shirt, shorts or sweatpants, black ballet shoes
