Course Description:

This interactive phonics and language-rich course is designed to come alongside, guide, and support parents in teaching their child to read and write.  Children will grow in literacy as they achieve success with single-letter sounds, consonant blends, phonograms, basic sight words, picture books, and manuscript handwriting.  Daily oral reading practice, written assignments, weekly spelling tests, scriptures, and poems will strengthen their enjoyment and success in learning to read and write.


Parent Responsibilities:  Guided practice with phonics flashcards, handwriting, oral reading, listening to stories, spelling words, and memory verses.  Help with completing written assignments.  Check out recommended library books to read to and with your child.
