NT Greek 1 is the equivalent of one year of High School Foreign Language credit. It is designed for the High school student with little or no background in the language. It includes a weekly study of Greek vocabulary and English derivatives. During the year, students will learn all 3 noun declensions and cases, verb conjugations, irregular verbs, and various pronouns, adjectives and adverbs. Learning is reinforced through weekly readings and translations. The students will take a fascinating journey through the language of Jesus, Paul, John, and other New Testament figures. Students will be reading weekly Greek texts drawn from various sections of the New Testament, as well as the Greek translation of the Old Testament (the Septuagint), and other early Christian documents.
